Celebrity Interior Designer to support GWA

Andrea Maflin has pledged her support for the Global Warming Alliance. An interior designer with a passion for paints and a strong commitment to help combat climate change she is currently researching and promoting the use of non-toxic products. A well known interior designer with a string of successful books including ‘New Ways With Paint’, Andrea has gained wide-spread popularity following her appearances in TV shows such as ‘Real Rooms’ and ‘Renovation Street’, GMTV’s 'Interactive House Makeover and Collectibles', with Eric Knowles. She is currently the resident interiors expert on ITV's 'This Morning'.

‘The Global Warming Alliance has made me conscious of the imperative of promoting an awareness of the connection between domestic jobs we take for granted such as ‘decorating the front room’ and global warming,’ Andrea says. ‘Plus their approach to combating climate change is practical and modern. I am completely committed to helping them by using my influence as a popular designer to provide environmentally friendly schemes that will aid ordinary people in making the right choices when they alter their homes. I believe global warming is the most important issue facing us today’.

‘I am a great believer that most people will do everything they can to help protect the planet for the future if they know how to do so,’ says Louise Burfitt-Dons of the Global Warming Alliance. ‘Andrea’s work can serve as an example of how to glamorise your home while at the same time be making environmental choices that will make you feel truly proud of your decor. I am delighted that she has agreed to help us by passing on our messages.’
